Helen Watson Biography

Helen Watson Biography

I skated from 1987 until 1998 at Billingham Forum, Sunderland and Whitley Bay Ice Rink. I achieved NISA Level 10 (Inter-gold) in singles skating and I have competed at primary and junior national level, winning bronze twice in pairs ice skating.

During my figure skating career I have been coached by Catherine Barker, who went on to be Performance Director at National Ice Skating Association, as well as Lorna Brown, World Professional Champion and world renowned choreographer who achieved Level 4 Master Coach before she left to coach in the USA.

I have worked in a broad range of off-ice training including skating specific training; physical conditioning at the Middlesbrough Gymnastic Centre of Excellence; ballet and contemporary dance classes.

Bradford Ice Arena provides me with the ideal environment to pass on my ice skating skills to a new generation of skaters. There is space for training on even the most sophisticated of footwork. Call me now on 0773 444 9554 for more information on pricing and availability.
